Sandsend’s main beach and cliff sites are unproductive during most conditions, but the less visited, tide dependent sites are a great location for rarer ammonites, Jet, marine reptile bones and pyrite fossils. Private tour itineraries take in the localities around Sandsend Ness and the long but spectacular route toward Goldsborough and Kettleness. These private tours are tailored to the specific abilities, timings and objectives of each group.
Due to monthly tidal variations, it is not always possible to embark on fossil hunts, particularly during winter hours.
Private tours costs are
1-6 people – 2-3 hour itinerary = Cost £150
7-11 people – 2-3 hour itinerary = Cost £250
12-16 people – 2-3 hour itinerary = Cost £350
