This is a 3 hour, 3 mile walking tour starting in the picturesque heart of Whitby. An informative & engaging introduction to the Earth Heritage of a world-class location. Your expert guide takes you on a journey back through human history into the deep past of geological time. The outdoor classroom approach mixes practical with theoretical in an exciting family experience that engages all ages. The tour’s curricula teaches techniques of fossil finding, supported by safety advice and best practice for enthusiasts wanting to learn and do more.

After ascending the “199 Steps” to the Glorious Ruins of Whitby Abbey, the walking itinerary travels along the Cleveland Way coastal path before descending into stunning Saltwick Bay. Each tour guarantees fossil finds to take home, plus photographs of Stegosaur and Theropod dinosaur footprint.
