PRIVATE TOURS

Robin Hoods bay has world-renowned geology and palaeontology awaiting to be discovered. A facilitated tour with one of our professional guides is the best way to discover this geoheritage, with itineraries arranged to suit the objectives of the hirer.

Our Earth Scientist guides curate individually designed experiences that follow best practice in accessing sites for responsible fossil collecting in this protected SSSI location. Private tours consider the unique safety factors of the location and are arranged to suit tides, adventure level, age and ability of the hiring party. The Bay is a starting point for trips south for the unique geology of Ravenscar, or North towards High Hawsker.

Each tour explores the processes that have created the unique landforms of Robin Hoods Bay and uncovers the environment and ecosystems that existed in Jurassic and Ice Age times. We discover the rocks and fossils that form the science behind these ancient stories.
