Private tours are arranged to this classic location of Port Mulgrave via our expert guides. Suiting fit and agile participants only, this location includes beach access via a steep stretch of stairs and a long walk from the nearest car parking. Coastal hazards of mud, steep climbs, boulder fields, slippery rocks and rockfalls along this stretch, making Port Mulgrave a higher adventure level location – not advisable for small children, mobility impaired or anyone with vertigo. Round trips to Staithes or Runswick Bay are possible in the right conditions, with one direction via the spectacular clifftop walk of The Cleveland Way.

Private tours consider the unique safety factors of the location and are arranged to suit tides, adventure level, age and ability of the hiring party.
Summer, school break and weekend availability is extremely limited. Please book early for 2026 dates. Due to monthly tidal variations, it is not always possible to embark on fossil hunts in all locations.
