START LOCATION – Cat Nab Car Park (TS12 1NY)

PARKING – A small, busy car park can be found near the start position.

Level: Intermediate, Beginner

Age range: Over 4

This is a 2 hour tour starting from The entrance of near the Beach in the picturesque seaside village of Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

Please come about 15 minutes before.

Before we reach the beach there is a short presentation explaining the safety side of fossil collecting and showing you the different fossils that we may find during our tour.

Once you are primed with this knowledge it is time to start looking through the pebbles on the beach as we travel north. Our tour guide is on hand to identify your finds and if your pebble needs splitting open to reveal the fossil inside.

The tour finishes on the beach after 2 hours.

 

Instructions

Please wear suitable footwear (ideally welly boots) and clothing.
